I'm famous?! Hah

In case you've not heard of World Read Aloud Day, you can read more about it at their website. What happens is that schools can book authors who sign up to participate to do free 15-20 minute visits. During that time, an author will read a book, or excerpts of a book if it's a novel, to the kids and allow a bit of time for Q&A.
I hadn't done WRAD in a couple of years, so I decided to offer a couple of slots this year. I've heard stories of classes not showing up or other mishaps, but I'm pleased to report that all went very well for me. The kids were attentive and asked fun questions. The people who set up the session were lovely.
The highlight of my day was when someone on one of the calls said, "Teresa Robeson? What's she doing here?" At first, I was like, "Uh oh...is she mad at me or something?"
So I nervously said, "Me? What am I doing here?" To which she responded, "Yes; you're a famous author! I'm a big fan."
Me: ...

I mean, I'm definitely not a famous author, but that gave me a boost of confidence I sorely needed because I've been feeling inadequate and untalented lately.
Anyway, I'm still walking on air a week later. Thank you, lovely person! You'd be my new bestie if only I'd caught your name.
